I hate over bloated [censored].
on my windows 2000 I have removed very much with nlite
but keep as much of functionality as possible.

But what he can include is runtimes and other OCX and dlls that many apps use.
But do not add dotnet.
dot net is a recources hog.
Now people gonna say its a runtime and only used when apps using it.
But that big amount of reg settings it made when installs.
Like dot.net 3 on XP make the registry like 30MB bigger and bigger registry is making the computer slower.
but All vb runtimes, VCplusplus 2005 and 2008 or what the name is.
flash player and other stuff like that.
not WMP, movie center s and other stuff that just make it over bloated.
Clean simple and working.

New Suggestion:

During Beta stages, there should be an app which could understand the users speech and find the file or the media on the web. It maybe really hard to make, but it will be fun.

Mortagen has not write anything about this for a very long time.
So I'm not sure if this is gonna be more updates on this.
so allot of suggestions maybe not needed if its not going be finished.
But we will see what mortagen do if he is going to finish this that would be great.

The project is not dead and I'm listening and considering all your suggestions. .NET is an optional feature that can be installed. I will not be bloating the OS and will only add features originally intended/discussed for Neptune AKA activity centers etc.

If you would like to build applications for Neptune please use VB6 rather than VB.NET as .NET won't be installed by default with Neptune.

The project is not dead, i just don't have much time to post about it all the time or check forums everywhere. I do work on it from time to time when i get the time and feel like doing it. You need to understand that this is VERY repetitive work that gets VERY annoying to work on when i have to do a Neptune installation over 50 times sometimes to fix one simple bug... and I've found A LOT of them so far. It's a lot of work. Things are going smoothly and working well.

Please don't ask me when another public build will be released as I'm unsure of that myself. Every time i give myself a deadline and post it here to you all, I'm unable to keep it so i no longer make them. I'll share something in good time when i say I'm ready to, and when a new build is ready for public testing.

Thank you for supporting my project and i appreciate your suggestions and wanted features very much. I'll try and post something regarding the project in the not too distant future. Stick around.

ok thanks for writing.
But we don´t expect a release soon.
You don´t have to write about it all the time, Just jump in and tell that it is not dead sometimes.
I understand that it is a hell of a job if it was easy everyone have put this together.
But it is a hard job and difficult so take your time but keep us informed not everyday not every week.
maybe step in to Neptune thread once a month and tell us if you are going to work on this or not.
So keep up your good work.
